Or rather, what I most like about the breed. 
General appearance: great elegance and harmonious proportions combined with strength and power. A strong dog, much sturdier than appearances would suggest. Medium size (males measure 47-51 cm and females 44-47 cm). The breed has visual impact but doesn't take up much space. Great visual impact: a whippet on a lead is noticed immediately. Of all sighthounds, the whippet is the most suited to living at home, so long as it has the chance to run free several times a week. 
The coat of the whippet is very short and easy to keep clean with a brush. Whippets tend not to have a strong odour, even when wet! Their lips are sealed to their muzzles which means that they never dribble, a real advantage when it comes to clothes, sofas and walls. Whippets can be any colour and this helps to make each example unique. It’s rare to find two with exactly the same colour or marking. 
Their character is well-balanced. They are fearless, reserved and discreet, affectionate with their owners to the point of exhaustion! They rarely bark, which makes them popular with the neighbours. Whippets are sighthounds and tend to chase whatever moves. That’s why they should only be let off the lead at a good distance from roads. The most frequent cause of accidents, often fatal, involving whippets is being run over by a car. Movement is vital for whippets, but so is a comfortable armchair at home.The whippet is a greyhound: everything else is slow.
